Slow days in Isshu recently. Need a second DS to transfer stuff across and Connor, bless his heart, isn't always in or available. Not that that really matters, as there's nothing much to do anymore 'cept fight trainers until I get strong enough to beat Cynthia. Although it did change to Autumn on the first, that was pretty exciting.
Such a slow week this week! No homework, 'cept a sheet detailing stuff about Doshisha for Friday, so there's been a lot of free time kicking about.
So why on earth am I so tired?! Last night notwithstanding, I haven't exactly been late night partying much, especially on nights when there's something like Anime on. Feels like I have so little to do, I end up using too much brainpower on the stuff I have left! Makes it very difficult to find the energy to do stuff I don't have to, like JLPT revision (which is ironically going pretty well). Maybe I should start taking regular naps, but those things leave me more tired than when I started.
Okay, so, as the more geekery-centric of you will have no doubt realised already, I have now started playing System Shock 2. Normally I'd have not enough interest to make me want to play it, I did enjoy BioShock a lot but not enough to hunt down its 'superior' spiritual precedent (is that the right word?). But when Connor shows up with a copy of it, and says that new patches allow us to play it co-op over a LAN, how am I to resist? I am thickheaded marine Swanner, good with guns and little else. Connor, or Scorpio, is a psychic, and Natasha rounds off the party with SookSouli (who no doubt got beaten up as a child for having such a funky name), a technician. We do alright together, except that Natasha, the only one of us who can't fight, keeps TRYING to and dying, and then blaming us. Fortunately you don't get a penalty for dying, so we are effectively invincible. Going to play it a lot tonight (a LOT) after I'm finished with this, as a matter of fact.
On a final note, Marsha, Steph passed on your request, but I'm afraid I can't comply for the sakes of my huge diabetic fanbase. They wouldn't appreciate it.
Thanks for reading.
Oi, at least I try!!
