So, first things first.
Residence for the year is Roseneath Street, a flat with some of Edinburgh's impossibly high ceilings, specifically in the biggest room with the biggest bed. Flatmates are Connor and Natasha (the latter is... 'following' me...) who are ace. Previous flatmates are even living just around the corner, which is an excellent added bonus. The flat is around fifteen minutes walk to class away, though when class lies at the top of David Hume Tower's staircase it's actually a bit longer. There's a Scotmid thirty seconds away, and a chip shop twenty seconds away. Can't really go wrong.
Two PS2s and a Wii in the living room, Japanese language and culture reference books on the walls, five additional mattresses in the cupboards, a whiteboard, zero windows in the kitchen, a phone that has a very loud ring and often puts through utter silence. Winter is not so far away and snow may be falling fairly soon; when it does Silent Hill will get oh-so scarier.
Now that that's out of the way, let's get on to something more important.
I chose Mijumaru, named him Lazzaro. He's really cool; not 100% won over by the blue, shell-wielding otter yet but give him time. AM won over, however, by Patty the Hatoubou, who rocks hard. Beat my first three Gym leaders (that's trio, Normal, Bug) and am well on the way towards my fourth (Electric). Got a few choice players lined up for that one.
That's my time. Gotta run.
Thanks for reading.
You got the new Pokemon? It's cool. is there anyone else around you having Pokemon already?
ReplyDeleteI chose Pokabu, but I deposited it with its being the second form of evolution table for some reason.
I have my English blog and I want to talk about the new Pokemon on your or my blog(but be careful I posted some posts which may contain spoiler of the Pokemon to you depending on your progress).
Thanks
Hi! Good to see you!
ReplyDeleteThat Pokabu... he beat me in my first ever battle!
Unfortunately I don't have anyone around with the new Pokemon games, I'm hoping to make some friends when it comes to Britain. That will take time, though!
I'll visit your blog some time, and I'll be careful to not read too much about Pokemon!
What is a Scotmid? Is your flat in the old town part of Edinburgh>
ReplyDeleteScotmid is the Scottish name for the Co-operative, a chain of small supermarkets in Scotland. Marchmont is in the old part of Edinburgh, yeah, though I'm afraid I don't know where the actual boundaries lie.
